Updated 27 October 2026.
The Android app needs no account and includes no ads or analytics. Prayer calculations, saved preferences, reading bookmarks, Tasbih counts, journal notes and downloaded content stay on your device. With permission, device location is used for prayer times and Qibla. Separately optional automatic travel updates also access location while the app is closed to update prayer times, alerts and widgets. This requires separate consent and background location permission. You can turn it off in the app or revoke permission in Android settings. Coordinates are not sent to the Daily Dua content server. Android location and reverse-geocoding services may process coordinates under the device service provider's privacy policy to determine your area name.
The app refreshes published banners and notices over HTTPS on launch and when returning to the foreground, with a short request throttle. When phone notice alerts are enabled, network-connected background jobs also check for notices with a minimum interval of 15 minutes. Android may delay these checks. Notice read and alert history stays on the device and is not uploaded. The dua catalogue refreshes when the app opens or returns to the foreground, at most once per minute. You can also use “Check for content updates”. Audio is downloaded only when requested. The service and its hosting/network providers receive normal connection information such as your IP address and requested URL. The app sends no coordinates, favorites, journal entries, counts or device identifier. Core reading and calculations continue offline. Dua audio is downloaded on request from audio.runutour.info (Cloudflare R2/CDN), with the existing content server as a fallback, verified against its published hash and stored privately for offline listening. Arabic and Bengali downloads are managed inside Daily Dua. Only human recordings are offered. If an exact matching human recording is unavailable, the app shows that status and does not fall back to computer-generated speech. Quran download locations are resolved through this server; audio files are delivered by Cloudflare R2/CDN, with a content-server fallback, and stored privately for offline playback. The server provides owner-reviewed human recordings or caches the original EveryAyah.com reciter files on demand. The upstream source receives the server connection, not your phone IP or private app data. Normal IP and requested-URL connection information reaches this content server. No location, bookmarks or other private activity is sent. Quran and Dua audio controls do not require phone language or voice settings. Qibla uses foreground orientation sensors and selected coordinates; no sensor readings are uploaded.
If you choose a nearby mosque or halal restaurant map search, your chosen map application receives the search request/location and uses its own privacy policy. Results come from that provider; Daily Dua does not certify halal status.
The panel uses secure session and CSRF cookies for authorized editors. It stores editorial accounts, source metadata, private banner/audio drafts and publication history. Only explicitly published content, notice/banner images and reviewed audio files are served publicly. Public content endpoints require no account. Hosting and Cloudflare may process security/access logs; origin access logging is disabled.
Clear app storage in Android settings or uninstall to remove local app data. There is no consumer account to delete. For editorial or privacy inquiries, use the contact details on the app's store listing when published. Return home.
